Deli Home Holding BV strengthens position with the proposed acquisition of Weekamp Deuren

Gorinchem, September 24, 2019 – Deli Home (a participation of NPM Capital), manufacturer and distributor of constructive & decorative home products, announces agreement on the acquisition of Weekamp Deuren (‘Weekamp’).

The Deli Home and Weekamp product ranges fit together seamlessly. Whereas Deli Home subsidiary Skantrae has a strong position in interior doors, Weekamp occupies a strong foothold in exterior doors. Skantrae operates primarily as a trading company, while Weekamp excels in custom manufacturing. The acquisition of Weekamp is therefore a logical step that fits within the strategy of internationalisation, upscaling, customised solutions and own production.

Joining forces offers Deli Home the opportunity to serve customers even better. Moreover, the acquisition provides growth opportunities for both companies, within all sectors where they are currently active. Additional benefits are also achievable in areas such as purchasing, production, stocks and logistics. The expertise of both companies can thus be utilised and expanded even further. With over € 100 million in turnover and nearly 1000 employees, their combined activities make them a strong contender within the door sector.

The acquisition is due for submission to the Consumer & Market Authority (ACM) for review. The proposed acquisition is expected to be completed by mid-November 2019. After the take-over, both companies will continue to operate as usual from their current locations.

Johan Weekamp (CEO Weekamp Doors): “We consider Deli Home the best partner for taking our business to the next level. My brother and I have built an amazing playbook over the past 40 years. By taking this step, we are giving our employees, customers and suppliers the continuity that they deserve in the future and the guarantee that our quality products will remain widely available for many years to come.”

Victor Aquina (CEO Deli Home): “Weekamp offers us a unique opportunity to accelerate investment in customised products in the door ranges that are important to us. It perfectly matches our strategy. Weekamp is also a family business, just like the other subsidiaries that Deli Home previously acquired. We can thus ensure that entrepreneurship, passion and technical knowledge remain paramount.”
