Ivenza Back-end Software Engineer

(Senior) Software Developer Back-End

We are expanding the team working on the Ivenza software suite. You will be part of our core team to build and expand our scope towards the digital carpenter strategy.

Our Ivenza software facilitates the “automated engineering” for made-to-measure products. This takes place during the configuration process of the specific product, delivering the execution plan (like CNC operations), Bill-of-Materials, checking the availability of materials, give a proper pricing and a 3D visualization, all before the user presses the “add to cart” button. At its core is an inference engine traversing a domain specific language we developed.

The other side of the Ivenza software suite handles the effective factory automation with the integration to factory systems, job stations and machines. Since we have the “automated engineering” at hand, we can adapt to changes in the production process, do optimizations on materials, on packaging and effective work on job stations.

With a comprehensive codebase we are looking for seasoned developers to work with us towards the evolution and innovation of our software suite. We are currently at the dawn of scaling our software towards the #1 digital carpenter ambition, which gives us a greenfield on scalability and innovation.

Experiences and qualifications

• Having a BSc, preferably a MSc, work ethic and thinking level
• Since our main development has been in Java and front-end in React, we appreciate a seasoned and applicable software development background
• Demonstrated effective experience in writing maintainable, innovative software applicationsPreferably experience with cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code, microservice architecture
• You are a self-learner, although we work together and talk about our problem domain, we value your ability to make things your own and master them
• Experience in 3D applications and/or game development is a plus
• You look at problems innovatively and creatively, and you come to solutions through communication with colleagues

• Proficient in English (spoken and written), preferably Dutch speaking
