In the performance declaration, which is part of the CE marking, the responsibility for the claimed properties is established. The declared product characteristics are thus linked to a manufacturer or importer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A distributor, importer, or manufacturer must be able to present the performance declaration to an (end) customer. If desired, a paper copy can be provided.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

A performance declaration specifies:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

  • The details of the manufacturer or importer;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • A product description, intended use, and scope of application;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • A reference to the applicable standard(s);<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The product performance and the basis on which it is established;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The responsible party, accountable for the performance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
